Tuesday Night Ball Game

Tuesday I got in 1:30hrs on the trainer while watching 'Ninja' (not to be mistaken for 'Ninja Asassign' from the other day); will give it a notch below NA, but neither are a good recommendation. Third day in a row doing the hampster thing so Wednesday is a day to regain my sanity.

After work I hit the mower and trimmed up the lawn before heading to SGF for Ian's (Bolivar Bandits) baseball game. The team struggled a little, but was able to hold on for a 7-4 win against a good Willard team. Ian and Brock Pitts (both alternate at 1st base) made several solid plays to keep us in the lead. Ian went 1 for 2 and he quickly let me know once he reached first (I coach first base) that he was now hitting .800 (4 for 5 - he is funny like that).

***The below clips show Ian grounding out (#1), hitting a ground single (#2), running out a play to 3rd with lady's head in the way at the end (#3), and Ian crossing home as play is over (#4)***

After the game we chowed down at Braums with a couple teammates then cruised back home where everyone hit the hay pretty quickly.

Jake had a bit of a volume running day as he hit 4 miles at AM practice then finished up with 11 at the PM. It's hard to keep the kids focused on peaking at the end of the season sometimes when they are running meets every week and want to do good at everyone of them. This Thursday is the Bolivar Relays and coach was loaded up the kids legs with solid volume and speed work so expectations of 'heavy legs' are looming.
