I have followed the Pais Vasco this week via Universal Sports http://www.universalsports.com/ via http://www.steephill.tv/ all without a commentator, just the sounds of an open mic. Sometimes it is just helicopter sounds, mostly light wind or motor sounds, but once in a while you get some interesting chatter between riders. Today we got to hear Horner drop some F-bombs during his diagnosis of a broken shoulder while others were trying to get him back on the bike to continue. He saddled up but immediately dismounted and left in an ambulance. A little later Christian VV was chewing on Albasini and Van Den Broeck for not pulling an equal amount (guess he should listened to Elvis - "... little less talk a little more action..."). While I prefer Paul and Phil, this provided a different viewing experience.
It appears I am on a roll for putting the bad mojo on riders. Before Gent I named Cavendish as an easy winner and yesterday I referenced my growing fondness of Horner. That being said, GO LANCE, MCEWEN, and any Rock Racing member.
Just received word Jake's meet was cancelled for this afternoon (with no information of rescheduling). Good for him as it will give some time to help with the tendinitis.
