Evening at the Park and White Man's Hammer

Loaded Ian and Deb (Jake is still under the weather and didn't feel like going anywhere) and headed to SPR for a Cardinals game. It was 'Bolivar Days' so there was a good size contingency of Bolivarites (or Bodunklivarites - for you Crusty) in attendance. Filled our bellies at Buffalo Wild Wings before hand and then caught some good baseball. SPR is fortunate to have great facilities and solid baseball. Had a lot of laughs and a generally good time as Deb giggled with the girls, Ian ran off with the boys, and I hung out with Randola and Tommy Boy (both pictured making out in the second video). Ian snagged the prize of the night as he went to get some autographs after the game and one of the players (he couldn't remember who) gave him his Louisville Slugger bat; he was beaming the rest of the night (and this morning). Got home super late and everyone crashed hard. ***Video audio is a little hard to understand - trust me, no great wealth of knowledge is lost by not understanding all***

THIS came up in conversation last night and I promised it would make the blog (you know both of you have this on your ipod and simply won't admit it).

Jake ran a light 4 miles this morning and is still fighting a stomach problem that has him about in tears from time to time. It is doubtful to run the 5k tomorrow unless things turn around quick. Ian still plans to kick butt in the 1 mile.

After two late nights I broke my date with my Friday morning mistress and grabbed some extra needed sleep. Snagged a couple hour ride at lunch, but the 'fun' factor was way low as the temps and humidity was back up (along with my HR as I included 2 x 30 min steady efforts)
